Our Chemical peels and skin peel specialists are able to discuss your skin related concerns and offer appropriate advice and treatment. A skin peel or chemical peel is a non-invasive procedure that helps to restore a more fresh and youthful appearance. If your are suffering from Acne scars, sun spots and pigmentary changes, or fine lines and worsening skin quality we can help. Recently we have been performing a lot of chemical peel for acne which has been a big success for our clients and you can see before and after pictures when you visit the clinic.

Who is a good candidate for chemical skin peel?

Skins peels, also known as chemical peels, are the safer low-cost alternative to expensive facelifts and injections which can have unexpected side effects. Common reasons why our patients seek chemical skin peel treatments though us include:

  • Active Acne and other skin conditions:
Regardless of age, spots can get you down. We are able to assess your skin conditions and offer appropriate solutions to help improve the quality, health and appearance of your skin.
  • Correction for Acne scars:
Acne scars can remain many years after they initially appeared. Our aesthetic doctors are able to offer treatment to improve the appearance of scarring, by using chemical peels and dermal fillers.
  • Improvements to pigmentary changes, complexion, fine lines and wrinkles:
Fine lines and pigmented spots can be troublesome to treat. These signs can be improved by a direct treatment to the skin using chemical peels, which aim to restructure and restore a more youthful appearance to your skin.

How does this skin peel work? Skin peels treat the top layers but also penetrate the mid to lower levers of the epidermis, delivering stronger, extended results and create a smoother looking skin. Our specialist will explain in detail during your appointment. You can access and book this service in any of our skin clinics around Liverpool, Manchester, Cumbria, Derby and London. The NHS has created a guide to cosmetic procedures like this and more information about Superficial peels, Medium peels and deep peels and you should ask our doctors who will explain everything in detail during your consultation.

Chemical Peels and Skin Peels FAQs
Who carries out aesthetic treatments at Clinic@?

All our aesthetic treatments are performed by trained medical practitioners, led by doctors.

How many treatments do I need?

Most skin treatments require a course over several months to obtain your best results. Our team will discuss this fully with you during your consultation, to make sure these treatments can be performed safely to treat your concerns.

Recovery time for a Chemical Skin Peel Treatment?

Most treatment related symptoms, like redness, will settle within 24 hours. Most people can carry on as normal the next day. After this you can experience some flaking of the skin or peeling, anytime between day 2 – 8. It is important you use an effective SPF for skin protection following any treatment to help improve your recovery and maximise the results. Please discuss any upcoming events during you consultation so we can create a treatment plan around your lifestyle and commitments

Can I go back to work after my chemical skin peel treatment?

Most skin peel treatments are very well tolerated. There is always a risk of a bruise or swelling following treatment, so we advise our patients to plan their treatments for appropriate times.

What do I do after an aesthetic treatment?

We advise that you keep the treated areas clean and avoid exercise for a period of 24 hours following treatment. Your specific aesthetic treatment aftercare will be explained to you by our team during your consultation and following treatment

Do I get any support or follow-up after my treatment at Clinic@?

Clinic@ aims to provide the highest standards of care and service. All our patients can see a doctor for a review following treatment, and our team are on hand over the phone to help you with any other questions.
